JFK Medical Center Welcomes Installation of State-of-the-Art X-Ray Machine Donated by Joseph Boakai Foundation

Monrovia, June 16, 2025-The Management of the John F. Kennedy Medical Center (JFKMC) has announced the successful installation of a state-of-the-art X-ray machine generously donated by the Joseph Boakai Foundation.

This historic addition marks the first of its kind in terms of value and technological advancement ever acquired by the national referral hospital, significantly enhancing diagnostic imaging capacity.

The new high-value X-ray equipment is a critical boost to the center’s diagnostic capabilities and will play a pivotal role in improving timely and accurate medical evaluations for patients across Liberia.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Dr. Linda A. Birch, Chief Executive Officer of JFKMC, expressed her profound gratitude to the Foundation and reiterated the hospital’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery.

“We extend our sincere appreciation to the Joseph Boakai Foundation for this transformative gesture. This donation is not only an investment in equipment but also an investment in lives. It aligns with our mission to provide accessible, efficient, and high-quality healthcare to the Liberian people,” Dr. Birch said.

Dr. Birch also affirmed JFKMC’s unwavering support to the Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Health, underscoring that partnerships like these are essential in achieving sustainable improvements in national health outcomes.

The installation of the X-ray machine is expected to ease the burden on existing diagnostic facilities, reduce wait times, and ensure that critical medical imaging is delivered with greater precision and speed.
