Monrovia – Today, Monday, February 2, 2015, an Envoy from the Japanese Embassy, Republic of Ghana, toured the Liberian Japanese Friendship Maternity Hospital in the vicinity of the John F. Leading the Japanese envoy, the CEO, Dr Linda Birch and Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr Ian Wachikwa, toured the Maternity Hospital along with the Japanese envoy, showcasing some of the most critical renovations and damaged medical equipment needing immediate replacement.

Meanwhile, the envoy, seeing the efforts being made by Dr. Birch’s administration, consented to collaboration with her administration to revamp the Maternity Hospital and replace some of the needed damaged medical equipment in the hospital.

As a sign of cooperative extension, the Japanese also said it is a good thing to make sure everything is understandable right now is key to the well-being of babies born at the maternity Hospital and survivors of their mothers’.
However, subsequently reviewing the laboratory and operation theatres in the maternity hospital, the Japs are set for further evaluation and cooperation with Dr. Linda Birch, Chief Executive Officer of the John F. Kennedy Medical Center to make the maternity Hospital a hospital of choice.

However, Dr. Birch acknowledges that the Maternity Hospital also needs its own power, that is an 850 Kilo volts generator in order to upgrade the hospital’s electrical outlets.
