Social Services
The Department of Social Services (DSS) is committed to supporting the most vulnerable patients at the Medical Center. Whether they are indigent, teens, abandoned, disabled (mentally or physically), elderly, or living with HIV, these patients receive the care and assistance they need, no matter their circumstances.
Under 5yrs
As the state-owned hospital, the management of the medical center award free medical services to children under the age of five (5). Patients (children) under this category are attended to by the Department of Fiscal and not DSS. The billing forms and medical services received by patients are send directly to the Fiscal Department
IDC – Infectious Disease Clinic
HIV patients enrolled in our IDC program receive all services at no cost. Their treatment, including medications and other services, is fully covered, with receipts submitted directly to our Fiscal Department. For those not enrolled in the IDC program—whether newly diagnosed or receiving care from other facilities—support and treatment are provided through our Department of Social Services (DSS) to ensure they receive the care they need.
