The Department of Social Service (DSS) is one of the specialized departments at the John F. Kennedy Medical Center (JFKMC). It focuses on promoting the health and well-being of patients and families and in helping them become more self-sufficient; preventing dependency; strengthening family relationships; and empowering them to contribute to the enhancement of their communities.
Whether they are indigent, teens, abandoned, disabled (mentally or physically), elderly, or living with HIV, these patients receive the care and assistance they need, no matter their circumstances.
