(Monrovia, March 23, 2022) the Management of the John F. Kennedy Medical Center today received a delegation comprising of members of the accreditation Team from the West African College of Surgeons.
The purpose of their visit was to conduct accreditation procedures for the department of Surgery and Obstetrics & Gynecology at the John F. Kennedy Medical Center.
The West African College of Surgeons is primarily focused on the accreditation of training institutions for trainees in all the surgical disciplines in the West Africa sub-region. The College also conducts examinations for, and certify specialists in all branches of surgery including Anesthesia, Dental Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Radiology and Surgery (including the various sub-specialties). The training programs run by the College include prevention, treatment and control of cancer in all these disciplines, which cover all parts of the human body.
The Team was received by the Chief Executive Officer/ General Administrator of the John F. Kennedy Medical Center Dr. Jerry Fahnloe Brown and his two deputies which include the Deputy CEO for Administration Mrs. Dama Yekeson Koffa and the Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sia Wata Camanor among other Senior Staff of the Medical Center.
